Under the NDIS Code of Conduct, all NDIS providers and workers are required to provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner with care and skill, and to take all reasonable steps to prevent all forms of violence against, exploitation, neglect and abuse of, people with disability.
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the NDIS Commission) is an Australian Government agency within the Social Services portfolio. We uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety and wellbeing, of people with disability receiving NDIS supports or services. We are the dedicated national regulator of providers of NDIS supports and services.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a historic document which outlined the rights and freedoms everyone is entitled to. It was the first international agreement on the basic principles of human rights.
